In anticipation of the Pongal festival rush, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) Kumbakonam division plans to run 5,756 special bus services across the central region from January 11 to 18. Of these, 3,310 services will connect Chennai with various towns, including Trichy, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, and Pudukottai. Additional special bus services are scheduled for Coimbatore, Tirupur, and Madurai.

TNSTC encourages the public to book tickets online through its website ([www.tnstc.in](www.tnstc.in)) or the TNSTC Android mobile application. The bus routes may be adjusted based on the online booking patterns. Passengers can inquire about special bus timings at dedicated helpdesks set up by TNSTC at all bus terminuses.
