In a shocking incident, Suchana Seth, the 39-year-old Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mindful AI Lab, has been apprehended by Goa Police in connection with the murder of her four-year-old son. The arrest took place in Chitradurga, Karnataka, on Sunday night. The motive behind the tragic incident remains unknown.
Suchana Seth, a prominent figure in the field of artificial intelligence, was taken into custody as she traveled with the lifeless body of her son to Karnataka. The CEO, recognized for her expertise in AI ethics and data science, had checked into a rented service apartment in North Goa’s Candolim on January 6, accompanied by her son.
According to the Calangute police, Seth informed the apartment staff that she intended to travel to Bengaluru for work. However, suspicions arose when cleaning staff discovered bloodstains in her room after she left. The police were alerted, and inquiries revealed that Seth’s son was not seen with her when she departed.
When questioned about the bloodstains, Seth claimed it was due to her monthly periods. She further stated that her son was with a friend in Margao, South Goa, providing an address. However, the provided address turned out to be fake, prompting the police to intensify their investigation.
Upon tracking the taxi carrying Seth to Bengaluru, the police in Chitradurga discovered the lifeless body of her son in her bag. A Calangute Police team obtained a transit remand for Seth, who was then brought back to Goa.
Suchana Seth’s estranged husband, currently in Jakarta, has been informed of the tragic incident. The police continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the shocking murder of the four-year-old child.
