Bihar’s Samastipur receives a gift of a 500-bed medical college hospital. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Shri Ram Janaki Medical College Hospital in Narhogi, Sarairanjan, on Sunday. The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, along with several ministers from the state. The hospital, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, stands as a significant asset for the district. Notably, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid the foundation for this medical college hospital in 2019.

The SRJMCH boasts modern amenities, providing a comprehensive MBBS program within its 500-bed facility. Oxygen supply is ensured for all beds, and interestingly, even if simultaneously supplied to all beds, continuous oxygen supply for up to eight hours is achievable. Additionally, arrangements for hostels, quarters for doctors and staff, as well as various facilities such as OPD, ICU, labor room, blood bank, two ultrasound machines, and an X-ray machine have been put in place. The hospital also features a pharmacy stockroom, radiology, and pathology services. Notably, the establishment includes a modern kitchen with equipment for making roti and kneading dough.

The inauguration event witnessed the joint presence of CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, who traveled together from Patna to Samastipur. Stringent security measures were in place for the Chief Minister’s arrival. The commitment to health infrastructure and services is evident through the well-planned and well-managed Shri Ram Janaki Medical College Hospital in Samastipur.
