“Patna – For the first time, the Labor Resource Department in Bihar will conduct a door-to-door survey through agencies to assess the youth and labor workforce. The survey, scheduled to conclude by the end of December this year, aims to identify the skills of the youth and compile a report. Based on this report, the department, with the support of the state government, will create employment opportunities for the youth. The survey will also include migrant workers residing in Bihar and other states, facilitating efforts to curb migration and ensure job availability within Bihar.

Preparations to Halt Migration

According to labor officials, thousands of people migrate from Bihar to other states every year. In response, the state government has decided to generate more employment opportunities for the youth and labor force within Bihar. This led to the decision to conduct a comprehensive survey.

Paths to Self-Employment for Youth, Extensive Skilled Youth Program

The survey aims to open avenues for self-employment for the youth, and the Skilled Youth Program will be expanded as a result.”
