In protest against the arrest of Hemant Soren, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and the Executive President of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the Adivasi Federation has called for a Jharkhand bandh on Thursday, February 1. Indigenous organizations have announced this on social media platforms. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Hemant Soren on Wednesday night in connection with a money laundering case related to a land scam. Following his arrest, Adivasi organizations have declared a state-wide shutdown.
