Notably, Nitish Kumar retains control of the Home Department, among others. Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha have been assigned nine departments each. The official notification from the Cabinet Secretariat outlines the distribution of departments. Nitish Kumar personally oversees Home and General Administration, while also holding authority over unallocated departments, such as Cabinet Secretariat, Monitoring, Election, and others.
