Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the construction work of the Bapu Tower at Gardnibagh on Sunday and issued necessary directives to the officials of the relevant department. During the inspection, the Chief Minister visited the fifth, third, and first floors of the Bapu Tower to oversee the construction progress. Officials provided detailed information to the Chief Minister during the inspection.
The building construction department’s secretary, Kumar Ravi, present at the site, informed the Chief Minister that the construction work is progressing rapidly, and finishing touches are being applied.
While inspecting, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took note of various facilities, including the exhibition hall, waiting room, lounge, research center, guest amenities, orientation hall, and other structures, aimed at establishing Bapu’s ideals among the general public.
During the inspection, Chief Minister Kumar directed the building construction department’s secretary to expedite the completion of Bapu Tower. He emphasized that the swift completion of the tower would allow the younger generation to learn about Bapu’s life, thoughts, and ideals. He urged a comprehensive presentation of historical events related to Bapu’s life, his principles, his role in the freedom struggle, his connection to Bihar, and a better depiction of his ideals for the public to understand.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his desire for the entire premises of Bapu Tower to remain a green area, presenting a well-organized and aesthetically pleasing environment. He envisioned that once the Bapu Tower is ready, it will offer a picturesque view, enabling people to come and gather information about Bapu.
He reiterated his wish for the rapid completion of the construction work on Bapu Tower. Chief Minister Kumar was accompanied by his secretary Anupam Kumar, building construction department secretary Kumar Ravi, special secretary of the Chief Minister’s office Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Patna DM Kapil Ashok, SSP Rajiv Mishra, and other officials during the inspection.
