In a significant development for rail travelers in Bihar, the routes of several trains have been altered, and some trains have been canceled due to ongoing Non-Interlocking (NIR) work. A mega block is scheduled by the Asansol Rail Division on Sunday, February 11, leading to route changes and cancellations affecting multiple trains.

Temporary Changes in Operation for Dozens of Trains

Due to the decision to remodel the Jivnathpur station yard in the DDU-Prayagraj rail section, temporary changes have been made in the operation of several trains, including the rescheduling of the Patliputra-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express.

Pumare, the Chief Public Relations Officer of the East Central Railway, stated that the Patliputra-LTT Express will be rerouted with a 90-minute delay from Patliputra to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus until February 13. Similarly, the Patna-Ahmedabad Special Train will operate via Kanpur-Lucknow-DDU route on February 9, while the DDU-Sonpurganj Memu Passenger Train has been canceled until February 12.

Impact on Patna to Howrah Travelers

A mega block is planned by the Asansol Rail Division on Sunday, February 11, affecting the travel of passengers between Patna and Howrah. The block, lasting 14 hours and 35 minutes, will result in the cancellation of 20 trains. Notable reroutings include the Ara-Tata Express, Patna-Jasidih Devghar Local, and others.

Power and Traffic Blocks

Several power and traffic blocks have been initiated on the Jasidih-Simultala rail route, affecting the down rail line from 5:45 AM to 7:20 PM and the up line from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Works near Allahabad Railway Bridge and Madhupur Vidyasagar Station will further impact train services.

Changes in Train Routes and Termination of Services

Several trains, including the Down Raxaul-Howrah Express and Down Patna-Puri Express, will now follow different routes. Meanwhile, the journeys of certain trains, such as Tata-Ara Express and Jasidih-Patna Memu Express, will be shortened.

Cancellation of Trains

Several trains, including the Mokama-Jasidih Special Memu, Jasidih-Jhajha Passenger Special, and others, have been canceled. Additionally, short-term termination has been announced for trains like Tata-Ara Express and Ara-Tata Express.

Trains on Single Line Operation

Notable trains, including Vande Bharat Express, Howrah-New Delhi Purva Express, Gurumukhi Express, and Gorakhpur-Asansol Express, will operate on single lines during the block period.

Revised Routes for Some Trains

On the day of the block, the Howrah-Raxaul Express will run via Kanpur-Jamalpur, while the Raxaul-Hyderabad Weekly Express will take the Jamalpur-Bhagalpur route. The Patna-Dhanbad Intercity Express will operate via Patna-Gaya, and the Kolkata-Amritsar Akal Takht Express will travel via Dhanbad-Gaya Grand chord line.

Trains Diverted via Prayagraj-Varanasi-DDU Route

From February 10 to February 11, trains like Anand Vihar-Gaya Express, Anand Vihar-Bhubaneswar Express, New Delhi-Guwahati Express, Guwahati-Badami Express, Kolkata-Bikaner Express, Guwahati-Bikaner Express, and Bhubaneswar-Anand Vihar Express will follow the Prayagraj-Varanasi-DDU route.

For more detailed information, passengers are advised to stay informed and check with the railway authorities. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding during this maintenance period.
