Major administrative reshuffle in Bihar: 15 IAS officers transferred

In a significant administrative reshuffle in Bihar, a series of transfers were initiated on Wednesday, involving the relocation of eight IPS officers initially and subsequently 15 IAS officers. This realignment comes amidst the ongoing transfers of police and administrative officials ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Anand Kishor, the Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), has been assigned the additional responsibility of Principal Secretary, Urban Development Housing Department, until further orders. Additionally, he will retain his supplementary role in Patna Metro Rail Limited.

Deepak Kumar Singh, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Cooperation Department, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department until further notice.

An additional charge as Chief Vigilance Officer, Patna, has been assigned to Parmar Ravi Manu Bhai, who currently holds the positions of Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Disaster Management, and Chief Secretary to the Revenue and Land Reforms Department.

Santosh Kumar Mall has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Cooperation Department until further orders.

Anupam Kumar, Secretary at the Chief Minister’s Office, has been given the additional responsibility of Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs, until further orders.

Dharmendra Kumar, Director-General, Mines and Geology, has been assigned the additional role of Secretary, Mines and Geology Department.

Sanjay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Health Department, will hold an additional charge as Secretary, Urban Development Department, until further notice.

Dinesh Kumar, Director-General, Bihar Medical Services, has been appointed as the Commissioner, Bhagalpur Division, until further orders.

Dharmendra Kumar, Additional Secretary, Urban Development Department, will take over as Director-General, Bihar Medical Services, Foundation Structure, until further orders.

Rajiv Kumar Shrivastav has been appointed as the Director-General of Bihar State Housing Board until further notice.

Manish Kumar Meena, the District Magistrate of Siwan, has been reassigned as the District Magistrate of Katihar until further orders.

Ruchi Pandey, the District Magistrate of Jehanabad, has been appointed as the District Magistrate of Sitamarhi until further notice.

Ravi Prakash, the District Magistrate of Katihar, has been transferred to the post of Joint Secretary, Industries Department.

Alankrita Pandey, Joint Secretary, Health Department, has been appointed as the District Magistrate of Jehanabad until further orders.

Yogesh Kumar Sagar, Joint Secretary, Industries Department, has been placed as the Principal Secretary of Bihar Urban Basic Infrastructure until further notice.

Additionally, four Superintendent of Police (SP) postings, including Kishanganj and Khagaria, have been changed in Bihar.”
