New Delhi, In a landmark event at Bharat Mandap, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the first National Creators Award ceremony, honoring influencers recognized for their content on social media platforms. Instagram and YouTube influencers Gaurav Chaudhary and Ranveer Allahabadiya were among those acknowledged. The Prime Minister urged content creators to start the ‘Create on India Movement,’ encouraging the sharing of stories about India’s culture, heritage, and traditions with the world.

During the award ceremony, PM Modi presented the National Creators Award to exceptional individuals, including Pravesh Pandey in the ‘Green Champion’ category, Kirtika Govindsamy for Best Storyteller, and singer Maithili Thakur as the ‘Cultural Ambassador of the Year.’ Gaurav Chaudhary received recognition in the Tech category, while Kamya Jani was honored as the Best Travel Producer. PM Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to technology and innovation, outlining a vision for a significant leap in these fields.

Addressing the audience, PM Modi encouraged everyone to participate in the ‘Create on India Movement,’ emphasizing the importance of showcasing India’s culture and heritage globally. He stressed the need for content creation that not only impacts individuals but also garners international attention. Additionally, he expressed greetings to women on International Women’s Day, encouraging creators to make ‘women empowerment’ a part of their content, dispelling misconceptions through creativity.

Acknowledging the upcoming elections, PM Modi made a commitment to conduct a program on the next Shivratri if possible. He clarified that this commitment wasn’t just his, but a promise to the 1.4 billion Indians. Urging first-time voters among content creators to raise awareness about voting responsibilities, he engaged with the audience, responding to slogans and addressing concerns about cleanliness, both in content creation and upcoming elections.

As Malhar Kalambe received the Cleanliness Ambassador Award, PM Modi subtly addressed the opposition, hinting at upcoming changes in the political landscape. He urged content creators to raise awareness against substance abuse among the youth, acknowledging the substantial impact their creations have on the country.

The National Creators Award aims to promote excellence in various fields, including storytelling, social change, environmental sustainability, and education. With over 1.5 lakh nominations in the initial round and nearly 10 lakh digital votes during the voting phase, the winners, including three international creators, were selected. The significant public participation underscores the awards’ ability to represent the preferences of the people.
