Around 200 examinees of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) TRE-3 examination are being questioned by Hazaribagh police amidst concerns of paper leakage. Buses have been seized, and an investigation is underway.

Hazaribagh police have detained nearly 200 students who were scheduled to participate in the BPSC TRE-3 examination on Friday. An investigation is being conducted due to concerns about paper leakage. The teacher recruitment exam was held in two sessions, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm for the first session and from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm for the second session. Not all students were able to participate in this examination. All candidates are from Bihar and do not possess mobile phones. Students traveling in three buses are being questioned at Barhi, Padma, and Katkamsandi police stations.

Buses Detained at Stations

Students boarded bus (BR 01 PE 5377 and BR 210-9922) to travel to Bihar to participate in the examination when the buses were detained. Both buses were brought to Barhi police station. One bus was taken to Padma police station, where these students are being questioned. Students from various districts of Bihar arrived in Hazaribagh on March 14 for the TRE-3 examination. They were accommodated at the Kohinoor Banquet Hall in Rumi, where they were coached for the BPSC TRE-3 examination. Students were made to memorize questions and answers. After staying overnight, students were returning to Bihar in separate buses in the morning to take the examination. However, due to being detained, all students missed the examination scheduled to be held in Bihar.

Action Taken by Bihar Police Based on Inputs

Bihar police had informed Hazaribagh SP that students from various districts of Bihar were being prepared for the examination in the Pelawal police station area of Hazaribagh. There is a suspicion of paper leakage. An investigation is being conducted. Following the instructions of Hazaribagh SP, Pelawal police station in-charge and police force raided Kohinoor Banquet Hall, where many students were about to board buses to Bihar. Three buses that left earlier were detained and stopped at Barhi and Padma police station areas. In this way, students from Bihar came to Hazaribagh from Bihar. Bihar’s team is investigating the entire matter.

Action Taken Concerning Paper Leakage

SP Arvind Kumar Singh informed that this entire case is related to the BPSC TRE-3 examination. Now the subject of investigation is whether the questions taught to the students came in Bihar’s examination or not. Bihar and Hazaribagh police are investigating the entire matter concerning the suspicion of paper leakage. Action is being taken in connection with the concern of paper leakage.
