Patna: In the first phase of the Lok Sabha Election, the nomination papers of 33 candidates have been canceled after scrutiny. A total of 72 candidates had filed nomination papers for the Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, and Jamui Lok Sabha constituencies. After the scrutiny of nomination papers, only 39 candidates’ papers have been accepted. All party candidates’ nominations on all four seats were found correct.

22 Nominations Rejected from Gaya
According to reports received by the Chief Election Office from the districts, scrutiny of nomination papers for the elections to be held on three seats of Magadh was conducted on Saturday. During this, a total of 28 nomination papers were canceled on all three seats. The nomination of seven candidates out of 22 was canceled in the Gaya seat. A total of 22 candidates had filed nomination papers in the Gaya Lok Sabha constituency, out of which the nomination of seven candidates was canceled, and now only 15 candidates remain. Similarly, 17 candidates had filed nomination papers from the Nawada Lok Sabha constituency, out of which nominations of nine candidates have been canceled, and now eight candidates remain here.
12 Nominations Rejected from Aurangabad
A total of 21 candidates had filed nomination papers from the Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency, out of which 12 candidates’ nomination papers have been canceled, and now nine candidates remain in this constituency. Similarly, in the Jamui Lok Sabha constituency, 12 candidates had filed nomination papers, out of which nominations of five candidates have been canceled, and now seven candidates remain valid here. On the other hand, in the Nawada seat, nominations of nine out of 17 people have been canceled. Meanwhile, in the Jamui Lok Sabha constituency, nominations of five candidates, including independent candidate Upendra Ravidas, have been canceled. Now, only seven candidates remain in the election arena.
