In a significant relief for consumers, the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) have been slashed by government oil companies and gas distributors on the first day of April. This move is expected to provide relief to people struggling with inflation.

Amid fluctuations in international markets for crude oil and gas, Indian gas distributors have announced a major reduction in LPG prices for the financial year 2024-25. Effective from April 1st, consumers in various cities across the country will benefit from a reduction of up to ₹30.50 in the prices of LPG cylinders. This reduction is hoped to alleviate the burden of inflation on consumers.

However, it’s worth noting that the price cut applies to commercial LPG cylinders weighing 19 kilograms, while there is no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders used for household purposes.
