Patna: The trough line, developed from Rajasthan to Bangladesh via Bihar, is expected to bring light rainfall to some parts of the state from April 11 to April 13. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms in certain areas. However, no significant temperature changes are anticipated in the next 24 hours. According to IMD Patna, there is a chance of light rainfall in southwest Bihar, particularly in Rohtas, Bhabhua, and Aurangabad. Similarly, there is a possibility of rain in south-central Bihar’s Gaya and Nawada, and in southeast Bihar’s Jamui and Banka districts.

Possibility of Thunderstorms

During this period, there is also concern about thunderstorms in some areas. However, the IMD has not issued any alerts regarding this weather change. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature recorded in Sheikhpura was 40.6 degrees Celsius, while Aurangabad district recorded 40 degrees Celsius. The temperature remained below 40 degrees Celsius in other places.

Sheikhpura’s temperature remained above 40 degrees Celsius. The IMD predicts the arrival of a strong western disturbance on April 12, leading to an increase in temperature followed by a decrease. On Wednesday, maximum temperatures decreased in Patna and nine other cities, while they increased in 22 cities. The minimum temperature dropped in 20 cities, including the capital, and rose in 11. However, Sheikhpura district’s temperature remained above 40 degrees Celsius, reaching 40.6 degrees Celsius.

In most cities of Bihar, the temperature did not increase significantly due to cloud cover. On Wednesday, Patna saw a decrease of 0.6 degrees Celsius in minimum temperature and 0.1 degrees Celsius in maximum temperature. The maximum temperature in the capital was recorded at 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.5 degrees Celsius.

Possibility of Rain in Many Districts

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of strong winds in Patna, Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nawada, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Supaul, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, and Araria districts at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. During this time, there is also a risk of thunderstorms in one or two places in these districts. The Meteorological Centre, Patna, issued an immediate alert on Wednesday morning, forecasting light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning and rain in Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur, Purnia, and Katihar districts.
