Patna: Under the records of the Meteorological Department, there has been an increase of two degrees in the daytime temperature in the last 24 hours. As a result, people had to face the scorching sun since early morning. With the rising sun, the scorching heat intensified. However, there is little hope of relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast until April 28, alerting about the heatwave during this period. The situation will remain severe with a heatwave and intense heat for the next four days. The weather is expected to remain dry, with the maximum temperature estimated to range between 40 to 42 degrees Celsius.
The Situation is Worsening
According to the department’s alert, the situation is expected to worsen. On the other hand, surface winds will also blow briskly. It has been reported that the average speed of the westerly wind will be between 16 to 20 km per hour. In such a situation, people may also face discomfort due to the hot air gust. According to the records of the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 39.5 degrees Celsius, which was 3.3 degrees higher than normal. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature remained at 23.1 degrees Celsius. Farmers are advised to maintain moisture in the mango orchards during this type of weather.
