BJP State president Samrat Choudhary has alleged that the Opposition alliance in INDIA manifests as an ‘insolent coalition’ whose leaders are ‘fragmenting the nation’.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bihar president Samrat Choudhary and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Vijay Kumar Sinha, have cast aspersions at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, coinciding with the convening of the Indian National Developmental, Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) Opposition collective in Mumbai.

Both leaders aver that Mr. Kumar’s “hallucination of emerging as the Premier” is on the verge of disintegration. Sneering at the Bihar CM, Mr. Choudhary quipped that his role might extend to the orchestration of a couple of small hamlets (tolas).

“Nitish Kumar harbored the delusion of ascending to the position of the nation’s Premier. This delusion is on the brink of collapse. The leaders of the INDIA alliance shall neither designate Nitish Kumar as the prime ministerial aspirant, nor bestow upon him the mantle of the alliance’s coordinator. It’s plausible that he might assume the role of a coordinator for one or two minuscule hamlets,” remarked Mr. Choudhary.

The INDIA Opposition assemblage is deemed an “overbearing confederation,” with its leaders ostensibly “segmenting the land,” as per Mr. Choudhary. He further iterated that Mr. Kumar is poised to remain bereft of any significant role within the national contours of the Opposition coalition.

Mr. Sinha also launched an attack on the INDIA coalition, contending that “all luminous specks” are congregating with the intent of supplanting the Sun, a feat he predicts to be futile.

“INDIA materializes as a union encompassing appeasement, dynastic political pursuits, and individuals plagued by corruption. The populace is cognizant of these proponents’ inclination toward dynastic politics. Irrespective of their meetings or alliances, the impact is negligible. The nation stands by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, consistently lauding his vision. In 2024, Narendra Modi shall retain his post as the nation’s Premier,” proclaimed Mr. Sinha.

Strategist Prashant Kishor has also delivered a scathing critique of Mr. Kumar, asserting that the Bihar CM wields no influence within his own State and holds no sway at the national echelon.

“Upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that the Congress leads the hierarchy, trailed by the Trinamool Congress (TMC), and subsequently the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) — entities with a modest representation of 20-25 Members of Parliament. Nitish Kumar, however, finds himself devoid of any such standing, bereft of both party and image. Consequently, on what grounds should he assume the role of convener [within the INDIA coalition]? Nitish’s resonance is conspicuously absent, be it in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, or Bengal,” Mr. Kishor retorted when prompted about Mr. Kumar’s abstention from leadership positions.

Mr. Kishor further noted that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) lacks any Parliamentary members, yet postulates themselves on the trajectory of national leadership. “Nitish holds sway over a mere 42 Legislative Assembly members and 16 Members of Parliament. The prevailing scenario forecasts his diminished electoral returns. When combining both the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) and INDIA coalitions, approximately 26-27 parties align. A substantial portion of these factions lack even a single MP. This assembling of parties adheres to the custom of counting heads, devoid of transformative potential for Nitish in the realm of national politics,” Mr. Kishor concluded.
