New Delh: In a refreshing pause from the usual political discourse, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann injected a light-hearted moment into the conversation by playfully ribbing his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) colleague, Raghav Chadha. Chadha is slated to tie the knot with actor Parineeti Chopra later this month, marking a union that has garnered considerable attention from politics, Bollywood, and beyond.

During a gathering of industry leaders in Ludhiana, Chief Minister Mann jovially hinted that Chadha’s “list of responsibilities” was about to take a significant expansion. He encouraged attendees to applaud the Delhi minister and extended his warm congratulations to the groom-to-be.

Chadha, in turn, shared photographs from the event, where AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also present. Chadha’s remarks at the event remained focused on political matters. He emphasized, “The AAP government in Punjab, under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, is actively working to create a pro-industry and pro-business environment in the state,” in a post on social media.

Furthermore, Chadha highlighted “10 key initiatives” undertaken by the Mann government and announced specific projects for Amritsar and Jalandhar, including the ₹210 crore Unity Mall project and infrastructure investments worth ₹50 crore, respectively.

However, when discussing the recent political controversy sparked by Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments on Sanatan Dharm, Chadha exhibited a more assertive tone. He condemned his ally’s statement, referring to it as a “small” remark, asserting that the alliance was forged to address pressing issues such as inflation and unemployment. Chadha emphasized that the comment made by a relatively lesser-known leader from a district in a state did not represent the official stance of the alliance.

Raghav Chadha’s impending marriage to Parineeti Chopra is poised to be a private event in Rajasthan, anticipated to attract dignitaries from the realms of politics, Bollywood, and more, as reported by Hindustan Times.
