Jhanjharpur, Bihar – In a bid to connect with the electorate and lay the groundwork for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in 2024, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is all set to grace the historic town of Jhanjharpur in the Madhubani district. The visit, scheduled for Saturday, September 16, is part of the ‘Lok Sabha Pravas’ Programme, where Minister Shah aims to enlighten the public about the notable achievements of the Narendra Modi-led government during its nine-year tenure.

Sources within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have indicated that Amit Shah will preside over a meeting of the Lok Sabha Core Committee during his visit. This gathering is expected to see the participation of prominent Bihar BJP leaders, including State BJP President Samrat Choudhary and MoS Home Nityanand Rai, alongside the district President of the Party.

In addition to these engagements, it has been reported that Minister Shah will inaugurate the Integrated Check Post (ICP) on the Indo-Nepal Border at Jogbani, a significant step in bolstering border security. Furthermore, he will remotely inaugurate the SSB battalion headquarters, located 8 kilometers away from Jogbani.

This visit marks Amit Shah’s sixth appearance in Bihar in just one year, following his party’s electoral setback in August 2022. In previous visits, he has shown keen interest in connecting with the people of Bihar and understanding the state’s diverse regional dynamics. Shah’s outreach includes visits to Punia, Sitab Diara, Valmakinagar, Patna, Nawada, and Lakhisarai.

This strategic approach to maintain a strong presence in Bihar highlights the significance of the state in the national political landscape. Minister Shah’s visits are not only about connecting with the people but also signify the BJP’s determination to regain its political foothold in the state.

In conclusion, Amit Shah’s visit to Jhanjharpur, Bihar, represents another chapter in the BJP’s efforts to consolidate support and communicate its achievements ahead of the Lok Sabha election in 2024. His proactive approach to state politics underscores the state’s continued importance on the national stage.
