Delhi University introduces 3 new PG programmes including Hindu studies

In a pioneering move, the prestigious University of Delhi has unveiled admissions for three innovative postgraduate programs: Master of Arts (MA) in Hindu Studies, MA in Chinese Studies, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security & Law. The registration window for these avant-garde programs is set to close on September 30, 2023.

These visionary courses have been meticulously designed to bridge traditional teachings of Hindu philosophy with contemporary disciplines such as computer science, informatics, commerce, and political science. Moreover, they aim to furnish students with a profound understanding of Chinese culture and proficiency while keeping them abreast of the latest advancements in the realm of cybersecurity.

MA in Hindu Studies:

This program offers a total of 60 seats, thoughtfully allocated as follows:

– Unreserved Category: 24 seats

– Other Backward Classes (OBC): 16 seats

– Scheduled Caste (SC): 9 seats

– Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 6 seats

– Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 seats

Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in any field are eligible to apply for this illustrious postgraduate program.

MA in Chinese Studies:

With a total of 49 seats available, the program’s distribution among categories is as follows:

– General: 19 seats

– Other Backward Classes (OBC): 13 seats

– Scheduled Caste (SC): 7 seats

– Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 6 seats

– Scheduled Tribe (ST): 4 seats

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university in India or abroad, with at least 50% marks. Additionally, they should have completed a one-year (full-time) PG Intensive Advanced Diploma Course in Chinese conducted by DU or a UGC-recognized university, or possess a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese with at least 15 years of education.

PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law:

This program offers a total of 64 seats, thoughtfully allocated as follows:

– General: 25

– Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 17

– Scheduled Caste (SC): 10

– Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 7

– Other Backward Classes (OBC): 5

Admission to this program will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree examination. Candidates holding degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Software Development, Computer Engineering, or equivalent fields are eligible to apply.
