India ‘eternal neighbour’, must jointly create ‘the Asian century: China

emphasized the significance of India and China jointly shaping “the Asian century.” While both nations are currently in communication through diplomatic and military channels to normalize the border situation in eastern Ladakh, there is a divergence in perspectives.

China asserts that the border situation is returning to normal, while India insists on resolving the military standoff at remaining friction points before resuming normal bilateral exchanges.

Speaking on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Ma Jia highlighted the need for both countries to understand each other’s strategic intentions accurately and support each other’s success. She underscored the importance of opposing zero-sum games and keeping the region free from geopolitical calculations. Ma expressed hope for friendly coexistence and collaboration between neighboring major countries, paving the way for the “Asian Century.”
