The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), an RSS-affiliated student organization, has issued a formal communication to the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) administration, seeking an in-depth inquiry into a recent incident involving the appearance of “anti-national” slogans on the campus premises.

ABVP has not only pressed for a thorough investigation but has also called for immediate action by the administration to pinpoint the individuals responsible for this incident. They are urging that accountability be fixed for the failure to prevent such acts.

“In our capacity as a student organization, we express grave concern regarding the recurring instances of anti-Bharat slogan inscriptions within the JNU campus. On the previous day, certain students captured photographic evidence of slogans such as ‘Indian-Occupied Kashmir,’ ‘Free Kashmir,’ ‘Bhagwa Jalega,’ etc., defacing the walls of the School of Languages building,” the formal letter stated.

In response to the swift dissemination of images showing these slogans, the JNU administration took corrective measures by cleaning the walls on Sunday morning, according to Vikas Patel, ABVP’s JNU secretary.

Furthermore, ABVP has explicitly demanded that the Chief Security Officer of JNU be held responsible for the lapse in preventing such incidents.
