Patna: Today, Prime Minister Modi is set to hold a rally in Jamui. Continuously targeting dynastic politics in his rallies, the Prime Minister has faced a response from Bihar’s former Deputy CM, Tejashwi Yadav, on social media. Responding to allegations of dynastic politics leveled against the Prime Minister, Tejashwi Yadav highlighted how the BJP has prioritized dynastic candidates on 14 seats in Bihar. In his post, Tejashwi noted that the four candidates the Prime Minister is seeking votes for hail from political families. He also pointed out the targeting of his party by Chirag Paswan. Yadav mentioned that if the Prime Minister asks for votes for Ramvilas Paswan’s son-in-law in Jamui, in Gaya, they will seek votes for Santosh Manjhi’s father, implying a similar pattern of dynastic politics.
Tejashwi Yadav Reveals Candidates’ Lineage
Tejashwi Yadav, on social media platform X, stated that Prime Minister Modi is coming to Bihar to campaign for the first phase’s four seats today. All four seats have allegedly 100% dynastic candidates. Among them, two are reportedly from regional dynastic parties, and two are from the BJP, filled with the country’s largest dynastic leaders. Arun Bharati from Jamui is the son-in-law of former Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan and the brother-in-law of Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) National President. Sushil Kumar Singh from Aurangabad is the son of former MP Ram Naresh Singh. Jitnarayan Manjhi from Gaya is the father of MLA Santosh Suman and the father-in-law of MLA Jyoti Devi. Meanwhile, Vivek Thakur from Nawada is the son of former Union Minister CP Thakur.
A Mirror on Dynastic Politics
During a conversation with journalists on Wednesday, Tejashwi Yadav also attempted to corner the BJP on the issue of dynastic politics. He mentioned that the Prime Minister is coming to Jamui to campaign for elections. Will the Prime Minister also speak against dynasticism in Jamui’s electoral rally? He suggested that one should ponder whether they are initiating their first electoral rally for their alliance in favor of dynastic candidates. This stark contrast between words and actions has now been exposed to the public.
Furthermore, in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, voting will take place on four seats in Bihar (Gaya, Aurangabad, Nawada, and Jamui) on April 19. In the meantime, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off the BJP’s campaign for the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar with a rally in Jamui on Thursday, April 4. Chirag Paswan, a key component of the BJP-led alliance, has fielded his sister-in-law Arun Bharati from the Jamui seat, while he himself is contesting from his father’s traditional seat in Hajipur. Amidst this, RJD leader and former Deputy CM of the state, Tejashwi Yadav, has taken aim at Prime Minister Modi over dynasticism.
