In a recent development, Bihar witnesses a significant reshuffle in its police and administrative cadre, with transfers affecting eight IPS officers. Notably, changes have been made in the Superintendent of Police (SP) positions across four districts, including Kishanganj and Khagaria.
Chandan Kushwaha, previously the SP in Banka, now assumes the role of SP in Khagaria. Concurrently, Harkishor Rai takes charge as the SP in Vaishali, while Rajendra Kumar Bhil is appointed as the new SP in Arwal. Sagar Kumar, the former SP of Khagaria, transitions to the SP position in Kishanganj. Inamul Haq Mengnoo, who served as SP in Kishanganj, now takes on the role of spokesperson for the Home Defense Force in Patna.
Furthermore, IPS officer Kavya Mishra has been designated as the SP (Rural) in Darbhanga. Vaishali’s SP Kartikey K. Sharma is set to serve as the Assistant Police Inspector General in the Special Armed Police Force in Bihar, with additional responsibilities as Assistant Police Inspector General (Training). Vidya Sagar, the ex-SP of Arwal, assumes the position of Deputy Director and Assistant State Fire Officer in Patna.
This strategic reshuffling aims to bring fresh perspectives and leadership to key positions within Bihar’s law enforcement, reflecting a commitment to effective governance and public safety.
