In a fiery address to the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a swipe at the opposition, primarily blaming the Congress for the current state of affairs. Expressing gratitude for the President’s speech proposal, PM Modi asserted that the opposition, especially the Congress, is responsible for the prevailing situation. He stated that the opposition has committed to staying out of power for an extended period and confidently declared that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP is poised to secure 370 seats.

“Congress can’t see OBCs like me,” Modi takes on Opposition

PM Modi targeted the Congress and the UPA government, accusing them of injustice towards Other Backward Classes (OBCs). He highlighted the recent honoring of Karpuri Thakur with the Bharat Ratna and criticized Congress for its treatment of OBCs. Modi asserted that Congress keeps counting how many OBCs are in the government but fails to provide justice. He questioned if they couldn’t see the significant OBC presence.

Opposition has lost the courage to fight elections, says PM Modi

In a sharp critique, PM Modi remarked that the opposition has lost the resolve to contest elections. He acknowledged their commitment but pointed out that many have lost the courage to fight, with some switching constituencies in the pursuit of change. Taking a dig at Congress, he mentioned shifts like Mallikarjun Kharge moving from one house to another, and Ghulam Nabi Azad shifting parties. Modi concluded by stating that the attempt to launch a single product has put the ‘Congress shop’ under lock and key.

“All awaited achievements fulfilled”: Modi

PM Modi reflected on the accomplishments of his government, stating that all long-awaited goals have been achieved in the second term. He highlighted the abrogation of Article 370, the enactment of the Women Empowerment and Recognition Act in the second term, and the recognition of women’s strength from space to the Olympics. Modi emphasized that the country has witnessed the fulfillment of awaited achievements during the second term.
