Union Minister Giriraj Singh strongly rebuked All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Badruddin Ajmal over his recent comments allegedly advising Muslims to remain indoors from January 20 to 26, particularly during the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

Singh asserted, “BJP does not harbor animosity towards Muslims. We operate on the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ [Together, for everyone’s growth, with everyone’s trust]. Former litigant in the Ayodhya land dispute case, Iqbal Ansari, has been invited to the ‘consecration’ ceremony of the Ram temple and will participate in the prayers. Individuals like Badruddin Ajmal and Owaisi propagate hatred in society. BJP respects all religions.”

Ajmal’s reported statement advising Muslims to stay home and avoid train travel during the Ayodhya event sparked criticism. He was quoted saying, “BJP is an enemy of our religion.”

The consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22, with several VVIP guests, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, expected to attend.

As part of its outreach, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced plans to live stream the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram temple on booth-level screens across the country. This initiative aims to enable widespread public participation in witnessing the historic event.
