In a strategic move aimed at fortifying its footprint in Telangana, the Adani Group has unveiled a comprehensive plan, revealing intentions to venture into missile and counter-drone system manufacturing. The conglomerate, under the leadership of Gautam Adani, conveyed these ambitious plans during discussions with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Alongside defense initiatives, Adani Ports & SEZ Managing Director Karan Adani and Adani Defence and Aerospace CEO Ashish Rajvanshi explored opportunities for a pumped storage power project, a wind energy endeavor, and an expansion of data center capacity by 300MW within the state.

The discussions also extended to the establishment of industrial clusters under a hybrid annuity model, signaling Adani’s commitment to catalyzing industrial growth in the region. The meeting included Telangana’s industries & IT minister, D Sridhar Babu, chief secretary Santhi Kumari, and industries & IT principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan as part of the delegation accompanying CM Revanth Reddy.

Adani Group, already operating an unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturing facility in collaboration with Israeli player Elbit Systems at the Adani Aerospace Park near Hyderabad international airport, aims to strengthen its position in Telangana. These ambitious plans align with the state’s efforts to provide essential infrastructure, amenities, and subsidies to attract new industries, fostering industrial growth and creating employment opportunities.
