Hourly rates for charter services have also increased, with fees ranging from approximately 4.5 to 5.25 lakh rupees for planes and 1.5 to 1.7 lakh rupees for twin-engine helicopters. The availability of fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters is also limited compared to previous election years.

However, the supply remains insufficient to meet this demand. Helicopters are commonly used by political parties to reach candidates and leaders in remote areas within a short time frame. States like Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh have witnessed a higher usage of helicopters.

During the election period, hourly rates for single-engine helicopters can range from 80,000 to 90,000 rupees, while for twin-engine helicopters, it can range from 1.5 to 1.7 lakh rupees. The earnings of charter plane operators during elections are expected to be 15-20% higher than usual.
Charter planes typically have a seating capacity of 7-12 passengers, depending on whether they are single or twin-engine helicopters. The rental for charter planes can range from 4.5 to 5.25 lakh rupees per hour. Operators anticipate a significant increase in earnings during the election period.
