In a strategic move, Microsoft has enlisted the expertise of Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, former CEO and president of OpenAI, to lead a new team focused on advanced research in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The announcement follows Altman’s recent dismissal from OpenAI, the company he co-founded.

Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s CEO, expressed the company’s commitment to its partnership with OpenAI and confidence in its ongoing innovations. Altman will assume the role of CEO for Microsoft’s new advanced AI research team, emphasizing a collaborative approach to foster innovation.

The surprising developments in OpenAI have raised eyebrows in the tech industry, with major investors reportedly attempting to bring Altman back. However, Altman’s return to OpenAI faced hurdles, including demands for significant changes within the organization.
