Superstar Nayanthara’s Bollywood debut in the blockbuster release “Jawan,” alongside Shah Rukh Khan, has generated significant buzz. The actress portrayed the role of a formidable special agent named Narmada Rai, earning acclaim for her on-screen chemistry with SRK. However, recent reports suggest that Nayanthara is discontented with director Atlee, alleging that her role was considerably trimmed in the film while Deepika Padukone’s character received greater prominence. Deepika made a “special appearance” in the film as SRK’s wife, though it appeared more like an SRK-Deepika starrer than a cameo. This development has raised questions about Nayanthara’s future prospects in Bollywood.

When queried about Nayanthara’s absence from promotional events and success press meets, insiders clarified that the actress follows a “no promotion policy” due to past negative experiences with misquoting and a belief that her primary role is acting rather than promotional activities.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan, during one of his “Ask SRK” sessions, expressed admiration for Nayanthara’s beauty and acting prowess, hoping that her Tamil Nadu fans would rediscover their affection for her, while the Hindi audience would appreciate her dedication.

“Jawan” hit theaters on September 7, marking a significant milestone in Nayanthara’s career as she ventured into the world of Hindi cinema.
