In a significant development, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, was taken into custody on the morning of September 9, 2023, by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with a case of alleged corruption. This arrest comes after the issuance of a notice invoking various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Sections 120B pertaining to criminal conspiracy, 420 related to cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property, and 465 concerning forgery.
