According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, McMahon is under federal investigation over the allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking that were brought against him late last month.

Prosecutors in New York have been contacted alleged victims of McMahon’s sexual misconduct, sources familiar with the investigation told the report.

Former employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit last month accusing him of sexually abusing her and trafficking her to other men in the company.

McMahon resigned last week from his role as executive chairman of the board of directors at TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE, after the bombshell lawsuit was filed.

The WWE co-founder has denied the allegations and said the investigation won’t find wrongdoing.

“I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name,” he said in a statement to WSJ.

Grant made severe allegations in her suit filed in Connecticut federal court that McMahon defecated on her head during a threesome with another WWE employee and sex-trafficked her to other executives.

She also alleged that McMahon sent her a text message in May 2020 that read: “I’m the only one who owns U and controls who I want to f*** U.”

On Thursday, a lawyer for John Laurinaitis, a co-defendant in the suit, appeared to corroborate claims in in a statement to VICE News and disputed his client’s role in the events — saying that Laurinaitis also was a victim, like Grant.

In response to a question seeking to clarify that he was indeed saying that McMahon was the predator and that Laurinaitis was a victim, Brennan wrote: “Read the allegations. Read the Federal Statute. Power, control, employment supervisory capacity, dictatorial sexual demands with repercussions if not met.

“Count how many times in the complaint Vince exerts control over both of them.”

Laurinaitis, an ex-pro wrestler and the company’s former head of talent relations and general manager, is the stepfather to WWE Hall of Famers, the Bella Twins — who said in a statement this week that they “are shocked and disheartened with the recent allegations.”
