“Pappu Yadav Joins Congress: Jan Adhikar Party leader and former MP Pappu Yadav has embraced the Congress party, merging his Jan Adhikar Party into it. He and his son Sarthak Ranjan have joined the Congress, as announced by the party’s national leadership in Delhi. Pappu Yadav, a prominent figure in Bihar politics, made this significant move ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, expressing his intention to unite against the BJP. Present at the joining ceremony were Bihar Congress in-charge Mohan Prakash, Congress Media Department Chairman Pawan Kheda, and the leader of the Congress legislative assembly in Bihar, Shakeel Ahmad Khan.

Speaking at the event, Pappu Yadav emphasized the strength and values of the Congress party, stating that even if the Congress were to sit idle, it would be better off with such influential individuals. He also highlighted his meeting with Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, claiming the former always treated him like a son. Praising Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership, Pappu Yadav expressed confidence in winning both parliamentary and assembly elections together.

Upon joining the Congress, Pappu Yadav showered praise on the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, likening Kharge’s resilience to that of a lion and a historical figure. He lauded Rahul Gandhi as the most resilient person and commended the Bharat Jodo Yatra initiated by Priyanka Gandhi. Pappu Yadav attributed his decision to join the Congress to the party’s inclusive ideology and the encouragement he received from Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi.

Reflecting on his political journey, Pappu Yadav emphasized the shared values between himself and the Congress party, stating that his entire political foundation has been secular. He expressed gratitude for the respect and trust bestowed upon him by the Congress family and hailed Rahul Gandhi’s leadership as essential for the nation.

Regarding the merger, Congress media department chairman Pawan Kheda affirmed that both the Jan Adhikar Party and Pappu Yadav are no strangers to the Indian political landscape. He described Pappu Yadav as a seasoned leader and highlighted his alignment with the Congress’s leadership, policies, and direction. Kheda confirmed the merger of the Jan Adhikar Party into the Congress, emphasizing its historical significance.”
