Former President Donald Trump intensified his rhetoric against President Joe Biden, labeling him the “destroyer of American democracy.” Trump, whose attempts to overturn the 2020 election have been widely criticized, accused Biden of weaponizing government against political opponents, likening him to a “Third World political tyrant.”

In a rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Trump pointed to the criminal indictments against him, asserting that they demonstrated Biden’s misuse of the federal justice system. He declared, “Joe Biden is not the defender of American democracy; Joe Biden is the destroyer of American democracy.”

Responding to Trump’s allegations, Biden’s campaign spokesman, Ammar Moussa, stated, “Donald Trump’s America in 2025 is one where the government is his personal weapon to lock up his political enemies.”

Trump also addressed lawsuits seeking to deem him ineligible for office, accusing Biden of defacing the Constitution. Despite previous failures, Trump continued to assert that Biden was behind these legal challenges.

In a separate rally in Ankeny, Iowa, Trump revisited claims of Democratic election fraud, urging supporters to “guard the vote” in 2024. He specifically mentioned cities like Detroit, Philadelphia, and Atlanta as places to watch for potential fraud.

Throughout his speech, Trump reiterated baseless claims of the 2020 election being stolen, despite numerous court dismissals and lack of evidence supporting such allegations.
