With the change in power and the expected alteration of ministers and the Deputy Chief Minister in Bihar, modifications in their residences are on the horizon. New ministers will be allocated residences vacated by their predecessors, and the process is set to begin promptly. Given the presence of two Deputy Chief Ministers in the new NDA government, one will receive an earmarked residence, while the other will be allotted the VVIP residence.

Tejashwi’s Residence to Change:

Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav is set to lose his residence at 5 Deshratna Marg once again. According to official sources from the Building Construction Department, the bungalow, assigned under the title of Deputy Chief Minister, will now be allotted to the new Deputy Chief Minister, Samart Chaudhary Simultaneously, a new spacious residence will be provided to the other Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha. The Speaker’s official residence, currently occupied by the incumbent Speaker, will need to be vacated if there is a change in the position of the Assembly Speaker in the future.

5 Deshratna Marg Background:

After taking on the role of Deputy Chief Minister, Tejashwi Yadav was allocated the residence at 5 Deshratna Marg. Prior to him, Tarakishore Prasad resided there. The allotment is linked explicitly to the Deputy Chief Minister’s position. Therefore, whoever assumes the role of Deputy Chief Minister will be provided with this residence.

Challenges for RJD Ministers:

In light of the changing political landscape, RJD ministers from the previous government will need to vacate their residences, which were assigned as ministers’ accommodations. There is an anticipation that new residences will be designated for them as they are assigned new ministerial positions. This is a standard procedure after any reshuffling in the political scenario.

The residence at 5 Deshratna Marg, which witnessed Tejashwi Yadav’s tenure, is to undergo yet another change, highlighting the dynamic nature of political accommodations in Bihar. Stay tuned for further updates as the political landscape continues to evolve in the state.
