New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed an audience at an event in Delhi on Saturday, envisioning an ideal “Ram Rajya” characterized by universal access to quality education and healthcare. Kejriwal emphasized the importance of these fundamental services being accessible to all citizens, regardless of their financial standing. The Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government is actively working towards realizing this vision.

During the event, Chief Minister Kejriwal inaugurated a new Outpatient Department (OPD) building at Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital, a government-run institution. He also interacted with patients, highlighting the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare and education.

Healthcare and education have been central to the Delhi government’s agenda, with significant expansion efforts underway. Currently, the city’s government-run hospitals collectively offer around 10,000 beds. Kejriwal disclosed that eleven new hospitals are under construction, and existing facilities are undergoing infrastructure upgrades, resulting in an additional 16,000 beds.

With the upcoming festivals of Dusshera and Diwali on the horizon, Chief Minister Kejriwal remarked, “We worship Lord Ram.” He pondered the concept of “Ram Rajya” and emphasized the need for quality and free education and healthcare for all, echoing the ideals he strives to implement in Delhi.

Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj and senior officials from the health department joined Chief Minister Kejriwal at the event.
