Patna: Bihar is now experiencing the full force of the heat. The mercury has already climbed to 40 degrees Celsius in many parts of the state. Moreover, several areas are facing the onslaught of heatwaves. According to the meteorological department, temperatures are expected to rise further in most parts of Bihar in the coming days. The weather department has issued heatwave alerts for several districts, including the capital city of Patna. Additionally, Vaishali district in Bihar has recorded temperatures surpassing 40 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest city in the state.

Severe Heatwave Expected in the Next Three Months

The wrath of the sun god seems to be at its peak in the month of Chait. The entire Bihar is reeling under severe heat. The scorching dry northern winds have already begun to show their intensity. This has raised concerns about the onset of heatwaves. According to meteorologists, severe heatwaves are expected in the next three months. From this month until June, along with the political heat, temperatures are expected to rise due to the scorching heat from the sky. There is also a possibility of heatwave alerts being issued during this month.

As the heat increases, demand for air conditioners and coolers rises

The rising temperatures have sparked a surge in demand for air conditioners and coolers in the city markets. With changing weather patterns, there has been a sudden increase in demand for ACs and coolers. However, people venturing out to buy ACs and coolers are returning disappointed after hearing the prices. Many shopkeepers in the Bhattacharya market have reported that while new stock has not yet arrived, the existing stock is also running low. Shopkeepers had anticipated an increase in demand for cooling appliances until June, but the sudden rise in temperatures at the beginning of April has led to increased demand. With the scorching heat affecting everyone, the market for fans, ACs, and coolers is also heating up.
