In a recent announcement by the Home Department, a significant transfer has taken place in Bihar’s police hierarchy. Ten police officers, including recently promoted IPS officers, have been assigned new roles.
Among the notable changes, IPS officers Shivdeep Londe and Garima Malik have been appointed as Inspectors General (IG) in Tirhut Range and Saharsa, respectively. Meanwhile, Manoj Kumar takes charge of the Koshi region.
Former SSP of Bhagalpur, Babu Ram, has been transferred from Begusarai to Darbhanga as Deputy Inspector General (DIG). Rashid Jamil, who was recently promoted, now heads Begusarai as the DIG.
Vikas Kumar, an IPS officer from the 2008 batch, moves from Chapra to Purnia, assuming the position of DIG. The Kosi region sees a new DIG in Manoj Kumar, previously serving as DIG (Security) Special Branch, Patna.
Shivdeep Londe, promoted to IG, now heads Tirhut Range, while IPS officer Rashed Jamil is assigned the DIG role in Begusarai. Vikas Barman, from the 2008 batch, takes charge as DIG in Saran, having been transferred from Patna.
IPS officer Garima Malik, from the 2006 batch, is appointed as IG of Patna Central Zone. Vinay Kumar, a 2004 batch IPS officer, transitions from IG (Headquarters) to IG (Security) in Patna.
Furthermore, Rakesh Rathi, a 2002 batch IPS officer, moves from IG Central Zone in Patna to the headquarters. Lastly, Sunil Kumar, a 1996 batch IPS officer, assumes the role of Additional Director General of Police, Special Branch.
