Calcutta High Court has raised questions regarding the incident of incorrect questions being asked in the Primary Teacher Eligibility Test conducted in West Bengal in 2022. Allegations have been made that 23 incorrect questions were included in this examination. A petition has been filed in the High Court, where during the hearing, the Justice questioned the authorities about how such a large number of questions could be incorrect out of 150 questions. The accusation is that at least 23 questions were incorrect.

How Can 23 Questions be Wrong out of 150?

The Justice initially mentioned that 13 questions were incorrect, which later increased to 15, then 21, and finally, in the latest development, the number of incorrect questions is stated to be 23. Out of 150 question papers, 23 are deemed incorrect. The Justice questioned why caution was not exercised while framing the questions. The future of thousands of applicants seeking employment depends on this examination. Therefore, it is crucial to take necessary precautions while preparing such questions.

Candidates Claim Difficulty in Taking the Exam due to Incorrect Questions

During the hearing on Tuesday, the High Court directed the authorities to present these disputed question papers to experts for examination and prepare a detailed report to be submitted to the court. The Justice stated that experts must determine what the correct questions should be and what their correct answers would be. Additionally, the High Court has asked the board how such a large number of questions could be incorrect in one examination. Meanwhile, candidates have claimed that they faced difficulties in taking the exam due to incorrect questions. They are also requesting full marks for those who attempted to answer these question papers.
