Mumbai,  Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has urged the Mumbai civic commissioner to adorn temples and buildings with decorative lights and “celebrate Diwali” on January 22, marking the consecration of the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and over 6,000 attendees are expected at the ceremony in Ayodhya.

Speaking at a cleanliness drive, CM Shinde said, “The Ram temple will be inaugurated on January 22… I want BMC to celebrate Diwali across Mumbai.”
