Dubai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed India’s stance for an “early and durable resolution” of the Israel-Palestine conflict through dialogue and diplomacy in a meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog on the sidelines of the COP28 Summit in Dubai. The leaders discussed the Israel-Hamas conflict, with Modi expressing condolences for the October 7 terror attacks and welcoming the release of hostages. Modi emphasized India’s support for a two-state solution and continued humanitarian aid delivery while endorsing a peaceful resolution through diplomatic means.

In another development, Modi engaged in talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussing bilateral ties and addressing the Israel-Hamas conflict. The leaders reviewed diverse aspects of their relationship, with Modi expressing gratitude for the UAE’s co-hosting of the Green Climate Programme event at COP28. Additionally, Modi extended an invitation to the UAE leader for the Vibrant Gujarat Summit scheduled for January. The ongoing summit provided a platform for Modi to interact with various world leaders, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, where they discussed climate action, finance, and multilateral reforms.
