New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 108th episode of his monthly radio program “Mann Ki Baat,” addressed the nation on a range of topics, emphasizing India’s achievements and future prospects.
During the program, PM Modi highlighted the resounding success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission and its significant viewership, with more than 80 lakh people tuning in to watch the moon landing on ISRO’s YouTube channel. He called on citizens to participate in the “Chandrayaan-3 Mahaquiz.”
The Prime Minister also discussed the recent G-20 Summit and its importance on the global stage.
PM Modi shed light on the ambitious project known as the “India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor,” foreseeing it as the cornerstone of international trade for generations to come. He emphasized that this monumental corridor initiative commenced on Indian soil, making it a historic achievement.
Additionally, the Prime Minister mentioned the G20 University Connect Programme and encouraged college students to participate. Distinguished educational institutions such as IITs, IIMs, NITs, and medical colleges are set to take part in this program, which PM Modi himself will join on September 26.
World Tourism Day, celebrated on September 27, was another topic of discussion. PM Modi noted the rising interest in India among global delegates who attended the G-20 Summit, where they had the opportunity to explore India’s rich diversity, traditions, cuisines, and heritage.
The recent recognition of Shantiniketan and Hoysala temples of Karnataka as UNESCO World Heritage Sites was celebrated, bringing India’s tally of World Heritage Properties to 42.
In a departure from global events, PM Modi emphasized the enduring significance of books in the digital age. He commended Uttarakhand’s ‘Ghoda library,’ a free library service reaching even the most remote areas.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister urged parents to encourage their children to read books, underscoring the enduring value of printed literature.
As the festive season approaches, PM Modi called on citizens to prioritize “Made in India” products and purchase and gift them during celebrations. He invoked the “Vocal for Local” mantra, reinforcing the importance of supporting indigenous products.
