Congress leader Rahul Gandhi kicked off the second phase of his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ from Aurangabad, Bihar, addressing a gathering at the Gandhi Maidan. During the rally, he launched a scathing attack on PM Modi and the BJP, accusing them of concentrating the country’s wealth in the hands of a few, specifically mentioning Adani. Gandhi stated that despite the Ram Mandir inauguration, it showcased no representation of the poor, only featuring billionaires and industrialists.

He emphasized the need for social justice, announcing that the next step would be caste census, a task Congress is committed to undertaking. Criticizing PM Modi for denying the existence of caste in the country, Gandhi questioned why Modi mentioned his own OBC status. Highlighting disparities, he pointed out that 73% of the 90 IAS officers distributing the country’s budget belong to a small elite, leaving the majority unrepresented.

Rahul Gandhi also criticized PM Modi for neglecting the demands of protesting farmers, claiming that their voices were being suppressed. Taking a dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he remarked that Bihar hadn’t witnessed progress under his leadership.

Prior to this, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge targeted both Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi, asserting that Bihar had undergone a ‘floor test,’ but Congress legislators remained steadfast. Kharge declared that Congress members would not bow down, criticizing Nitish Kumar for aligning with the BJP. The event featured prominent Congress leaders such as Jairam Ramesh, K.C. Venugopal, Shakil Ahmed, Prem Chand Mishra, state president Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh, youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar, and former Governor Nikhil Kumar.
