SKMCH, Muzaffarpur, set to transform into Super-Specialty hospital on Feb 15

The SKMCH (Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital) in Muzaffarpur will provide patients with specialized hospital facilities starting from February 15. A new six-story building has been constructed within the hospital premises, equipped with all the amenities of a super-specialty hospital. The inauguration will be conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing.

Machines costing 300 crores have been procured for the hospital’s preparation. Advanced medical arrangements have been made in the super-specialty hospital, including essential equipment for various medical conditions.

Patients will now receive facilities similar to private hospitals here, eliminating the need to refer patients from all hospitals in North Bihar to Patna or Delhi. The hospital will offer treatment for all ailments akin to super-specialty hospitals in Delhi and Mumbai, reducing the necessity for patients to travel elsewhere.

Different OPDs and wards have been established for the treatment of patients in the super-specialty hospital, focusing on cardiology, nephrology, pediatric surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, and burn care.

A significant development is the introduction of plastic surgery services, with a dedicated wing and the procurement of necessary tools. The opening of the super-specialty hospital will benefit people across Bihar by providing comprehensive healthcare services. Additionally, arrangements for a canteen will be available for patients and their families.
