The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has declared its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Bihar. Dr. Dharmshila Gupta and Dr. Bhim Singh have been chosen by the party for these seats. Dr. Dharmshila Gupta currently serves as the President of the Bihar BJP Women’s Wing, while Dr. Bhim Singh holds the position of Senior State Vice President in the Bihar BJP and has previously served as a minister in the Nitish Kumar government.

Following the conclusion of Sushil Kumar Modi’s tenure as the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and current Rajya Sabha MP, the BJP has announced new candidates to fill the vacancy. Sushil Modi extended his congratulations to all the candidates, expressing his best wishes for the upcoming biennial elections in 2024.

Sushil Modi’s Congratulations to BJP Candidates

Sushil Kumar Modi, in a social media post, congratulated Dr. Bhim Singh and Dr. Dharmshila Gupta on being nominated as BJP candidates for the Bihar Rajya Sabha. He further conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to all officially nominated candidates for the upcoming 2024 Rajya Sabha elections, expressing anticipation for their success.

Sushil Modi Expresses Gratitude to BJP

Sushil Modi thanked the Bharatiya Janata Party, acknowledging the commendable work of party members who have been consistently representing the nation in various houses for 33 years. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the party and vowed to continue working diligently.

BJP’s Inclusive Approach

BJP has strategically selected candidates from marginalized communities for both Rajya Sabha seats. Dr. Bhim Singh belongs to the Kahar community, currently serving as the state vice president of the BJP. On the other hand, Dr. Dharmshila Gupta, hailing from the Vaishya community, has been chosen as a candidate, sending a message of inclusivity and representation.

It’s noteworthy that Rajya Sabha elections are based on the number of legislators. With BJP having a significant number of legislators in Bihar, the selection of both candidates is deemed certain.
