In a significant address to the third edition of the World Hindu Congress (WHC) held in Bangkok, Thailand, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin expressed admiration for Hindu values, citing them as a potential catalyst for world peace. The WHC, a quadrennial event aimed at establishing the identity of Hindus globally, brought together more than 2,200 delegates from 61 countries.

While Prime Minister Thavisin was unable to attend the event personally, his message was delivered during a pivotal session. In his recorded remarks, he highlighted the principles of Hinduism, emphasizing non-violence, truth, tolerance, and harmony as guiding lights in these tumultuous times.

The WHC serves as a platform for distinguished individuals who have excelled in diverse fields such as education, economy, academics, research and development, media, and politics. The gathering aims to discuss and address the challenges faced by Hindus across the world.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, another prominent figure at the Congress, urged Hindus worldwide to foster unity and connect on a global scale. “We have to reach out, connect with every Hindu. And Hindus together will connect everybody in the world. As Hindus are connected in more numbers, the process of connecting with the world has also started,” he stated, underlining the importance of a united Hindu community.

The three-day conference will delve into various aspects of the challenges confronting Hindus globally. Spiritual leader Mata Amritanandmayi Devi, VHP General Secretary Milind Parande, and other influential figures participated in the event.

The WHC, previously hosted in Delhi in 2014 and Chicago in 2018, serves as a platform for fostering a sense of identity and unity among Hindus worldwide. As the world grapples with numerous challenges, the recognition of Hindu values as a force for peace adds a unique perspective to the global discourse.
