Modi calls for reconstruction of cultural symbols hit by ‘tyrants’

In a two-day visit to Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need for reconstructing India’s cultural symbols targeted by historical “tyrants.” Speaking at the inauguration of the Swarved Mahamandir, one of the world’s largest meditation centers, Modi highlighted the importance of incorporating social realities and cultural identities for holistic national development. He mentioned the significance of structures like the Swarved temple, envisioning Varanasi as a major tourism center. Modi also presented nine requests to the people, ranging from water conservation to promoting digital transactions and cleanliness.

3. Work towards cleanliness in villages, localities, and cities.

4. Use local products whenever possible.

5. Encourage travel within the country.

6. Educate farmers about natural farming.

7. Include millets in daily life.

8. Invest in fitness, yoga, or sports.

9. Support one poor family to alleviate poverty.

Focus on Rural Women Empowerment:

– Modi’s resolution to make two crore rural women “Lakhpati Didis” for self-reliance.

– Commitment to welfare schemes for the poor, youth, women, and farmers.

Government Initiatives:

– PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme benefiting farmers.

– Introduction of “kisan drones” for efficient fertiliser spraying.

– Support for the Banas dairy plant in Varanasi.

Vision for India:

> “Today, the entire country, including Kashi, is committed to building a developed India.”

– Opposition’s demand for a nationwide caste census.

– Modi’s perspective: Recognizing only four castes – poor, youth, women, and farmers.

30,000 crore transferred to farmers’ bank accounts through PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.

– Introduction of “kisan drones” for efficient fertiliser spraying.
