MOSCOW – In a resounding call for international cooperation, Russia has urged for “collective action” to bring an end to the protracted crisis unfolding in the Middle East. This plea comes nearly a month into the unrest, which has regrettably claimed the lives of thousands.

Amid the tumultuous backdrop of the intensifying violence in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, there is an increasingly vocal chorus of appeals for collaborative efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation in the Middle East. Moscow has firmly expressed its support for such appeals, emphasizing its advocacy for a “multilateral approach” in addressing the persisting crisis.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has underscored Moscow’s potential as a mediator in the ongoing unrest. Nonetheless, as of now, significant breakthroughs have remained elusive, particularly in the realms of prisoner release and the cessation of Israeli hostilities.

Moscow has initiated endeavors to secure the release of over 200 individuals held by Hamas, with eight Russian citizens believed to be among them. This diplomatic pursuit underscores Russia’s commitment to navigating the complexities of the Middle East crisis.
