New Delhi, In a recent survey conducted by Capgemini Research Institute, it has been revealed that a majority of global and Indian organizations emphasize the urgent need for climate technologies to meet their sustainability objectives. The survey included over 1,300 senior executives from large organizations across 16 industries in 13 countries.

According to the findings, three-quarters of the surveyed executives stated that their organizations would not achieve their sustainability goals without the integration of climate technology. On average, executives anticipate that climate tech will contribute to achieving 37% of their decarbonization or net-zero goals.

Florent Andrillon, the global head of climate tech at Capgemini, highlighted the increasing awareness of the urgency to address climate change, describing it as the beginning of a clean industrial revolution. However, the report also noted that the high cost of climate technology remains a significant barrier to adoption, with 77% of executives expecting an increase in product costs due to climate tech adoption.

Despite the challenges, corporate investment in climate technologies is projected to grow at 7.7% over the next two years. The report recommends the adoption of new business models integrating climate tech, leveraging digital technologies like AI and 3D printing, and partnering with startups for upskilling workers.
