BJP leader and Nawada MP Vivek Thakur, after a meeting with Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi, proposed the construction of a bypass road to ease traffic congestion in Nawada. The suggested bypass would extend from near the canal on the Bakhtiyarpur-Rajauli NH-20 road to SH-08 near Kadirganj. During the meeting, Thakur also discussed various road-related issues in his parliamentary constituency and congratulated Gadkari on his reappointment as Union Minister.

Bypass to Benefit Nawada:

MP Thakur informed Minister Gadkari that the Hisua-Nawada Pakribarawan-Jamui SH-08 road runs through Nawada district, passing through densely populated areas and the district headquarters. The presence of SH-08 stations near Prajatantra Chowk, Nawada Bazaar Bhag Path station, and the busy Kadirganj market frequently leads to significant traffic jams in the main market of Nawada.

Relief from Traffic Jams:

The construction of the proposed bypass would alleviate congestion in Nawada’s main market and Kadirganj market. Vehicles coming from Patna, Biharsharif, Rajgir, and Pawapuri would no longer need to pass through Nawada market to reach Sikandra, Jamui, and Deoghar. Minister Gadkari directed the concerned officers to proceed with the bypass construction plan, aiming to bring much-needed relief to the residents and travelers in Nawada.
