New Delhi- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi resumed his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Sarangpur, Madhya Pradesh, and took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of prioritizing the slogan “Jai Shri Ram” over addressing the issue of unemployment in the country.
Greeted with chants of “Modi, Modi” and “Jai Shree Ram” by BJP workers, Gandhi criticized the Prime Minister for allegedly wanting people to focus on their phones, chant religious slogans, and then face hunger.
During the address, he targeted the Agniveer scheme, claiming that it only benefits a select few, specifically mentioning SC, ST, and OBC individuals.
This marks the second time in three days that Gandhi criticized PM Modi on the unemployment issue, asserting that India’s unemployment rate is double that of Pakistan. He highlighted a figure of 23% in India compared to 12% in Pakistan and claimed that India’s unemployment rate is the highest in 40 years.
Gandhi’s remarks come amidst his ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, where he addresses public gatherings to discuss concerns related to unemployment and criticize the government’s policies.
